VOLUMISING TREATMETNS

Over time, we gradually lose facial volume, our collagen and elastin diminishes, our bones begin to recede and our skin becomes thinner. All of this leads to the face losing its contours, our skin sagging and the appearing of lines and deep folds; giving us the sense of looking tired or ageing.

The results from cosmetic volumisation treatments are instant, leaving you looking noticeably more refreshed and plump. During your Cosmetic appointment our Advanced Cosmetic Nurses can provide you with a thorough assessment and tailored treatment plan towards your aesthetic goals.

Our Volumising Treatments help to shape, add volume and enhance various facial aspects, softening a fold or minimising the appearance of wrinkles. Volumising treatmetns include Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid (HA), fat and other substances, with Hyaluronic Acid fillers being the most popular.

Cosmetic Volumisation procedures are also known as hyaluronic acid, a gel-like substance that is naturally found in the body and therefore presents few risks or long-term side effects in their use. Cosmetic Volumisation products have been safely used in the Cosmetic Industry for over 30 years and are commonly used in conjunction with wrinkle reducing treatments to help relax facial expression muscles, smoothe lines, soften folds and creases, restore volume and enhance facial contours.

We offer a wide range of Cosmetic Volumising products and our Registered Cosmetic Nurse has many years of specialist experience in their use, helping you to achieve your desired outcome, lasting between 3 to 18 months.

What Can Dermal Fillers Treat?

Facial volume loss is one of the main factors in the ageing process resulting in wrinkles, folds and flattening of the skin. Dermal Fillers can be used to non-surgically replace this lost volume and enhance the shape of the face giving youthful revolumisation and rejuvenation. You will see an immediate effect after the filler is injected and because the filler is hydrophilic (water-loving) it helps to provide hydration to your skin.

Give volume and structure to your lips, cheeks, chin, nose, tear troughs, brows, nasal labial folds, mouth corners, bunny lines and static wrinkles all non-surgically with little down time or side-effects.

Non-Surgical Facial Volume Rejuvenation

Facial Volume loss occurs in the face as we age. This leads to the sagging of the skin, creating wrinkles, folds and flattening of the skin.

Dermal Fillers are the most common way of replacing lost volume in the face. They can be used in areas such as the cheeks, brow, jawline and chin to improve skin firmness and give the appearance of lifted facial muscles.

Our Doctors and Nurses have a large range of Dermal Fillers to suit your needs and goals and will assess you condition and suitability for the procedure.

Non-Surgical Tear Trough Enhancement

The hollows of your eyes or the “Tear Troughs” are the depressed groove that sits between your lower eyelids and your cheeks. As the fatty tissue under the eye begins to sag and protrude with age, the groove is made more prominent leading to tired looking eyes.

It is possible to have this protruding skin removed surgically, however, by filling in the area of the tear trough underneath; the grove can appear less prominent as the transition from the eyes to the cheeks is made smoother.

Non-Surgical Cheek Enhancement

For those who don’t want the permanent change of cheek implants, Dermal Fillers can be injected into the cheeks to give volume and lift. A secondary advantage to having a cheek enhancement is that it lifts the entire face, also reducing the appearance of nasolabial folds and jowls, returning the shape of the face to a more youthful one.

The tear troughs are often treated simultaneously with the cheeks, ensuring a smooth transition from the eye area into the cheeks.

Non-Surgical Lip Enhancement

Dermal filler can be injected into the lips and surrounding lip area to enhance their shape, even out and add volume to the lips. Wrinkles around the mouth can be improved through the reinforcement of the skin, making it less prone to developing wrinkles and fine lines.

The body of the lip is the most commonly enhanced as it gives the lip volume and averts the inside of the lip out slightly. This is done to the top and bottom lip in most cases to achieve a natural balance and appearance between them.

The vermilion border is the junction between the white and red part of the lips and can be enhanced by injecting dermal lip fillers in this area. This defines the lips, similar to wearing lip liner.

Correction of vertical upper lip lines, if present, is also important in the enhancement of lips. This area is often a key area of concern for patients and can be softened with a variety of fillers.

The oral commissures are located in the corners of the mouth and can also be filled as this area usually increases in size with age due to the effect of gravity on the cheek skin. Filling this area turns the corners of the lips upwards creating a more positive and happy appearance.

The philtrum consists of the two lines in the centre of the upper lip that connects to the nose. By enhancing this double-ridge, it is possible to give the upper lip more shape and curve, enhancing the sensuality of the lips.

The Cupid’s bow, or the V shaped area in the centre of the upper lip, can also be enhanced with dermal lip fillers. This makes the V more pronounced. Done in conjunction with the philtrum, it can achieve a pleasant overall shape to the upper lip.
